Who can invest in Home Capital Partners funds?

All Home Capital Partners funds are currently only open to wholesale investors as defined under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. These opportunities are not available to retail investors.

What financial returns can investors expect from Home Capital Partners funds?
  • Fund 1 – Housing Development Fund: 15% p.a. (pre-tax, net of fees).
  • Fund 2 – Church & Communities Land Fund: 8% p.a. (pre-tax, net of fees).
  • The New Zealand Housing Fund: 10–12% p.a. (pre-tax, net of fees).

What is the minimum investment amount in Home Capital Partners funds?

The minimum investment is NZD 100,000 for wholesale investors. Further commitments are usually in multiples of NZD 50,000, though smaller amounts may be accepted at the Board’s discretion.

How are Home Capital Partners funds governed and managed?

Funds are managed by an experienced team with expertise in finance, development, and impact investment. Oversight includes an independent Chair, a Board of Directors, and a dedicated Investment Committee. Regular audits and transparent reporting are provided to all investors.

What is the typical investment timeframe for Home Capital Partners funds?

Investors should expect a medium- to long-term horizon.

  • Housing Development Fund and Church & Communities Land Fund: rolling five-year cycles.
  • Social & Affordable Housing Fund: long-term (up to 20 years) with liquidity options at set intervals.
What risks are involved in investing with Home Capital Partners funds?

As with all property-based investments, risks include:

  • Market fluctuations and interest rate changes.
  • Liquidity constraints (real estate is not easily converted to cash).
